(BLOOMINGTON) - A transitional house that would be used for homeless families is the latest target of copper thieves in Bloomington.
Police say criminals made off with parts from air conditioning units at the complex in the 700-block of West Dodds and Wylie Streets. The housing area was undergoing renovations when the thieves broke into 12 air conditioners.
It wasn't the first site to be hit. Other sites recently targeted included a home under construction and a Duke Energy substation. Police have a suspect in at least one of those cases.
