(JASPER) - A major accident in Jasper sent 7 people to the hospital.
18-year-old Daniel Underhill of French Lick was traveling west on CR-400N when he approached the intersection of US-231. According to the state police report, Underhill ran through the stop sign and was struck on the driver side door by 21-year-old Daniel Parfitt of Loogootee. Underhill's Jeep left the roadway, rolled several times and came to a rest on its driver's side, ejecting both Underhill and one of his passengers, 18-year-old Krystal Herring of Richland.
Underhill's 3 other passengers received only minor injuries, Underhill suffered several lacerations and bruises while Herring broke her pelvis.
Parfitt, the driver of the other car, broke his collar bone while his passenger, 22-year-old David Harper of Loogootee suffered a broken arm and head injuries.
All seven were transported to Memorial Hospital in Jasper. State police are still investigating the accident.
