(BEDFORD) - Bedford City Council passed a number of cuts to the budget at last night’s meeting.
Due to budgeting problems as previously reported by WBIW News, Bedford City Council approved almost $450,000 in budget reductions.
One additional, major cut was the deletion of vision insurance for city employees.
Bedford City Clerk and Treasurer Donna Brumbaugh told WBIW news the shortfalls stem primarily from a combination of higher city expenses and a decrease in state funding.
