(BLOOMINGTON) - The second annual Circle of Life IU Mini Marathon and 5K will kick off this Saturday.
Marathon runners will complete a 13.1 mile course which will take them through the IU campus and around the City of Bloomington.
The marathon, which is an Indiana University student philanthropy project, was started last year to create the Bill Z. Littlefield scholarship for survivors, named after a Kelly School of Business professor who died of cancer in 2005.
Last year's race attracted 3,000 runners and raised more than $60,000 to send a cancer survivor to any of the 8 IU schools.
