(BEDFORD) - A 5 vehicle wreck on 16th St. in front of the Swifty gas station Wednesday morning injured 4.
According to police reports, 25-year-old Bedford resident Misty Chase was traveling eastbound on 16th when she said she was both distracted by sun glare and by the two children she had with her in her Dodge SUV.
She came across the intersection of E St. and struck the rear of 16-year-old Kayse Chen's Jeep, setting off a chain reaction shortly before 8:00AM. The Jeep was shoved forward into a compact car which was shoved into a small pickup.
16th St. was closed by emergency equipment for almost an hour backing up traffic past H St. 4 people were reported injured, including Chase and the 2 children in her car, at least 3 people were transported by ambulance.
Chase was determined to be at fault, according to reports, no citations were issued.
