(BEDFORD) - Two Bedford men were nailed last night for public intoxication after allegedly causing trouble on their moped.
According to Bedford police, 27-year-old Mark Barnett and 24-year-old Ryan Marshall were seen in the Edgewood area of Bedford harassing people along their route at random.
A Bedford officer noticed the behavior and followed them to the Circle-K gas station at 16th and O Streets where they made contact. Police say they noticed a strong odor of alcohol on their breath and proceeded to check for other signs of their being drunk. He allegedly found those signs...in the form of the bottles of beer stashed in their pockets.
Both individuals were charged with public intoxication and marshal, who got belligerent with the officer, was also charged with disorderly conduct. They spent the night in Lawrence County jail.
