(CAMPBELLSBURG) - Two young men were arrested yesterday afternoon for armed robbery in Campbellsburg.
A little after 9:00PM Saturday evening, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old allegedly entered the K&E Market wearing black ski masks and one brandishing a handgun. They demanded money from the lady at the counter, which was delivered from the register.
The 2 boys fled on foot and the lady at the counter called 911.
At 4:00PM yesterday, a tip came in to the Washington County Sheriff's Department regarding the identity and location of the suspects. Shortly afterward, Sheriff's police made the arrest of the two boys at their Washington County homes.
Though the exact amount of money stolen is presently unknown, more than $450 was recovered from the boys on arrest.
Both boys are charged with armed robbery and are being held at the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center.
