(BEDFORD) - Four people, including 2 minors, were arrested last night for a fight that resulted from a traffic argument.
Bedford police reports say 2 groups of people were arguing in the parking lot of the Buhler's Buy-Low on 5th Street in Bedford over who had the right of way. One party decided to leave and went home to their house near 5th and I Streets, when the 2nd party decided to follow.
Reports say 20-year-old Dustin Abbott of Bedford, 20-year-old Tyler Landreth of Springville, a 17-year-old female and a 14-year-old male arrived at the other groups house, and got out of the car wielding a baseball bat and knives.
One of the offenders struck one of the victims to start the fight.
Bedford police arrived, broke up the fight, and took all 4 into custody.
Abbott is charged with battery and possession of marijuana under 30 grams, and Landreth with battery, illegal consumption of alcohol and public intoxication, both were taken to Lawrence County jail.
The 17-year-old girl is charged with public intoxication, illegal consumption of alcohol, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest by force, and the 14-year-old boy was charged with public intoxication on an illegal substance. The girl was released on probation and the boy to his parents.
Police confiscated 1 baseball bat and 3 knives, nobody required medical treatment.
