(BLOOMFIELD) - The Bloomfield Schools are in the news again for more violent troubles, this time twice in 2 days.
Yesterday afternoon, Bloomfield Schools were placed on external lock down by Superintendent Dan Sichting due to the drive-by shooting at the elementary school in Brazil, Indiana.
Bloomfield High School Principal Greg Parsley says all exterior doors were locked, however, business remained as usual inside.
Clay County sheriffs say 2 males in a black van shot out a window of the Van Buren Elementary cafeteria yesterday. Bloomfield was shut down as a precaution.
Then, early this morning, Greene County sheriff's deputies eventually conducted a search of Bloomfield Schools due to a pair of reportedly armed men running around the school campus and Huck's Food and Fuel shortly after midnight.
Police say a slender man with blonde hair and a more heavyset man with dark hair were spotted, supposedly with a long gun, in the area.
Officers speculate they may have been casing the Huck's to rob it, but that is not confirmed.
Area law enforcement officials are still hunting for all for men, the 2 that shot at the Clay County school, and the 2 that were spotted around Bloomfield Schools. Officials ask that if you have any information, to please call either Greene County sheriffs or Clay County sheriffs.
