(BLOOMINGTON) - His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet will be in Bloomington October 27th for a speech on compassion.
His address, part of a 6 day visit sponsored by the Tibetan Cultural Center and Kumbum Chamtse Ling Temple, both in Bloomington, will be entitled "Compassion: The Source of Peace."
The Dalai Lama is the winner of the 1989 Nobel Peace Prize and will visit Bloomington, home of his eldest brother Thubten Norbu, immediately after being awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in Washington.
The Dalai Lama's visit to Chicago in May of this year drew hundreds of thousands of attendees.
