(CORYDON) - Indiana State Police Sellersburg arrested a Harrison County man on 2 counts of rape.
42-year-old Aaron Cherry was charged with the crimes while incarcerated in Harrison County jail for an unrelated crime.
State troopers allege that in early September of this year, officers were assigned a rape and burglary case in rural Harrison County. In the case, police say a woman was at her home alone when Cherry allegedly busted down the back door, reportedly raping, robbing and intimidating her. The case is still under further investigation by troopers.
Cherry stands charged with 2 counts of rape, one count of burglary, one county of robbery, and one count of intimidation, all felony charges.
