(LOOGOOTEE) - A Loogootee man has been arrested on a number of charges, including getting into an altercation with a state trooper, late Friday night.
According to a report by the state police Jasper post, a report came in Friday evening of a property damage accident with the driver leaving the scene.
A witness led officers to the home of the suspect, 58-year-old Larry Davis, where his damaged truck was found.
Davis was booked in the Martin County jail where he reportedly refused a chemical test to see if he was intoxicated. Davis allegedly got into a physical altercation with one of the troopers, when he was quickly subdued and incarcerated.
Davis was charged with felony counts of operating while intoxicated with a prior within 5 years, and battery on a law enforcement officer, along with lesser charges of leaving the scene of a property damage accident, driving while suspended and unsafe movement.
