(BEDFORD) - A Springville man was injured after another vehicle nearly ran headlong into his car.
Lawrence County officials say 36-year-old Brent Goodman was driving westbound on Highway 50 when he noticed an oncoming vehicle halfway in his lane on the 2 lane road. Goodman swerved out of the way to miss the other vehicle, tried to get back on the road, but lost control of his car.
The car left the roadway, slid on the wet grass and struck a tree. Goodman complained of pain in his leg, but he refused medical treatment.
Goodman said he could not identify the other vehicle other than that it was dark in color. Lawrence county sheriffs are continuing to investigate the incident.
