State Police Make Quick Arrest In Corydon Bank Robbery

(CORYDON) - Indiana state police made an arrest quickly after the Community First Bank in Corydon was robbed.

According to a state police release, 24-year-old David Waltz of Corydon allegedly walked into the Community First Bank, implied he had a weapon, though never displayed one, and demanded money.

After the robbery, he ran out the front door and fled on foot. State police, Harrison County sheriffs and Corydon police conducted a manhunt in the area and found Waltz near the bank.

Officers approached and questioned him and made the arrest.

An undisclosed amount of money was found after the arrest, and no one was injured.

Waltz is charged with felony robbery and is being held in the Harrison County jail. All three law enforcement agencies are continuing to investigate the incident.
