(LEIPSIC) - Orange County sheriffs and Indiana state police took down 3 methamphetamine labs in Leipsic yesterday.
Acting on tips from hunters, sheriff's deputies and the state police Clandestine Lab Team found a meth lab in the woods just east of Leipsic. Officers questioned nearby residents and obtained permission to search a property where they found 2 more meth labs in the garage.
Meth labs are especially sought after by police officers all over the Midwest not only because of the drug they produce, but because of the deadly chemicals they use and the risk of explosion and fire they carry.
Charges based on evidence from the 2 locations are pending against 1 person, sheriff Richard Dixon says additional suspects could be included as the investigation continues.
