(HOLTON) - A Columbus woman is dead and five others were hurt in a two-vehicle accident on US 50 in Holton.
The Ripley County sheriff's department says a vehicle driven by 69-year-old Betty Hawkins went through an intersection and hit another vehicle driven by 41-year-old J. Scott Cawein.
Cawein's mother-in-law, 66-year-old Doris Parsons was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
