(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police made a number of arrests Sunday resulting from a single disturbance call.
Bloomington's Captain Joe Qualters told WBIW News officers responded to a home on East Knollwood Circle around 6:00pm Sunday night and, when they arrived, they heard loud noises inside the residence and saw a car out front with 4 children inside between 1 and 6 years old.
The windows to the car were partially open and police estimate the temperatures were near freezing and the kids were out there for more than 10 minutes.
When officers finally gained entry to the residence, they found a 19-year-old female inside who was the obvious victim of a battery, and also smelled burnt marijuana.
Officers arrested 18-year-old Samantha Gustavia for a felony charge of possession of marijuana over 30 grams and maintaining a public nuisance.
22-year-old Ebony Wallace, the mother of the children outside, was arrested for child neglect, and another 15-year-old girl was arrested for battering the other 19-year-old girl.
Gustavia and Wallace were taken to Monroe County Jail, the 15-year-old to a juvenile detention center.
