(BLOOMINGTON) - A 9-year-old Bloomington boy has been referred to juvenile probation after he stabbed a fellow female classmate’s hand with a pencil.
The incident happened Thursday at Arlington Heights Elementary School. The girl told police her classmate stabbed her because she told him to stop messing with things on her desk.
The girl was taken to the school nurse. The pencil didn't break through her skin.
The boy faces a preliminary charge of aggravated battery.
