(BEDFORD) - A 4 car chain reaction accident involving an International truck-trailer injured 5 yesterday afternoon.
The report by Bedford police says 19-year-old Patrick Jackson of Evansville was stopped on Lincoln Avenue to turn into the Day & Carter Mortuary when 2 other vehicles pulled up behind him to wait.
Before he could make the turn, though, 72-year-old Henry Cook of Mitchell came the same way up Lincoln and didn't see the 3 vehicles stopped. Jackson allegedly ran into the rear of 44-year-old Karen Roberts of Bedford, injuring her and her 2 passengers; 43-year-old Dawn Williams of Springville and a 7-year-old girl.
The woman in the second car, Cheryl New of Bedford, was also injured, but Jackson, the guy in front, and Cook, the truck driver, reported no injuries.
