(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington Hospital has released information saying flu shots are still available at Promptcare and the Monroe County Public Health Clinic.
Hospital officials say the flu vaccine is the best way to prevent both catching and spreading the influenza virus.
However, since it takes about 2 weeks for the vaccine to become fully effective, medical professionals recommend getting the shot no later than early December.
Shots can be acquired at both Promptcare East and West and the Monroe County Public Health Clinic for $25, and if you have Medicare, they can bill it if appropriate.
Medicaid will only be accepted at the public health clinic on Miller Drive.
