(BEDFORD) - A cell phone is blamed for three people being injured in a wreck on Highway 50 last night.
Sheriff's deputies say 17 year old Joshua Rhoades dropped his cell phone right before rear ending 70 year old Garold Kinser and his wife Rita.
Kinser was waiting for traffic to clear so he could turn left on Woody Farm Road as Rhoades approached from behind. Rhoades tried to swerve to the right but struck Kinser anyway.
Rhoades complained of leg pain and was taken to Dunn Memorial Hospital by ambulance.
Kinser complained of head and neck pain and drove himself to Bedford Regional Medical Center, where his wife Rita was taken by ambulance for head and neck pain.
No citations were issued.
