(BEDFORD) - The first real winter weather test is making its way to the WBIW listening area tonight.
Forecasts tonight are calling for a mix of snow and rain starting as early as 7:00pm, which should put it after the evening commute for most people, but right in the middle of the drive home for others.
We are looking at snow accumulation later on, and it could get up around 1 inch before the night's out.
What will make the snow easy to accumulate will be the fact that air temperatures are going to be hovering around the freezing point all night tonight, and will barely get above that through tomorrow afternoon, where we're supposed to get a second dusting of less than an inch. Tomorrow night will see temperatures plunge down to the 20-degree mark.
So when the weather gets inclement, keep your radio tuned to Winter Weather Watchers on WBIW, for updates on the weather and the latest on closings, cancellations and delays.
If you don't have access to a radio, then log on to the Winter Weather Watchers section of WBIW.com to see those listings updated as they come in.
