(BEDFORD) - A potential weapons scare at Beford North Lawrence High School is over.
According to information released by BNL officials, school administrators heard rumors of a student allegedly in possession of an ammunition clip and possible weapon.
BNL personnel immediately addressed the situation, securing the school, and spoke with the student in question as well as other individuals.
Law enforcement officials were contacted to assist in the investigation and, ultimately, disciplinary actions were taken against at least 1 student.
Principal Michael Terry told WBIW News no weapons or other dangerous materials were found.
Terry says he would much rather have to take precautionary actions, search the school and find nothing, than have dangerous material on school grounds and not know about it.
