(BEDFORD) - Unemployment in Lawrence County continues to climb, albeit slowly this month.
Unemployment in Lawrence County went up only a tenth of a percent from 5.3% to 5.4%, the same amount unemployment went up overall in the State of Indiana.
In the 8th Economic Growth Region, only Greene and Orange Counties showed a decrease, with Daviess staying steady at 2.8%.
In the City of Bedford, unemployment actually went down by 1 tenth to 7.4%, joined by Linton and Nashville in decreasing jobless rates.
And, even through Lawrence County improved 1 spot in state rankings, it still is ranked as having the 6th worst unemployment.
