(BEDFORD) - A Norman, Indiana man was injured after an auto accident resulting from his hitting a horse at the intersection of US-50 and SR-446 this morning.
Sheriff's officials say 59-year-old Dwight Lucas said he saw the horse too late after he passed through the intersection near the farmer's market going westbound on 50, and ran straight into it and then ran off the north side of the roadway.
No information was available about the condition of the horse, which is owned by Steve Wilson of Bedford; however Lucas did suffer minor abrasions to his knee and lower leg.
