(PAOLI) - Skiers and snowboarders are gearing up for another season in the snow at Paoli Peaks in Southern Indiana.
The popular ski resort has started producing its own snow in preparation of opening day, saying temperatures are finally low enough to blanket the slopes.
Paoli Peaks Spokeswoman Val Dreusicke says natural snow is welcome because it gets Hoosiers excited about the resort. However, the high humidity also makes it impossible for the snow guns to make their own blend.
The resort will open when there is enough white stuff on the ground to make it a safe experience. You can monitor the slopes at www.paolipeaks.com.
