(INDIANAPOLIS) - The Nature Conservancy has raised 61-million dollars to buy and preserve 46-thousand acres of undeveloped land in Indiana.
The money will protect wetlands, woods and other natural landscapes in 12 counties, including several sites in Brown County.
About two-thirds of the money comes from Sally Reahard of Indianapolis, who left the conservancy 41-million dollars in her will when she died four years ago.
