(SHOALS) - A Martin County woman is behind bars after allegedly harassing a state trooper during a routine traffic stop yesterday.
State police stopped a vehicle on 2nd Street in Shoals and, during the stop, the trooper was allegedly approached by 25-year-old Leia Greene who started yelling and screaming at the officer.
According to police reports, Ms. Greene did not calm down and follow instructions when the officer told her to, and when the officer tried to take her into custody, she allegedly tried to flee.
Greene was taken into custody and transported to Martin County jail charged with resisting law enforcement, public intoxication and disorderly conduct.
