(BEDFORD) - A 14-year-old Bedford Middle School student got himself in a seemingly needless heap of trouble after getting into a scuffle with Bedford officers that were reportedly trying to help him out.
Friday afternoon, Bedford officers were called to Bedford Middle School regarding a 14-year-old boy who may be having problems at home, and may not have had a bed waiting for him that night.
Bedford police say, however, when the boy saw the officers, he became combative and disorderly.
Officers, trying to calm him down, told him he would be arrested for juvenile delinquency by disorderly conduct. This apparently didn't help matters as the student continued on, and when officers started to take him into custody, he became physically combative.
The student would eventually be taken to the Bedford Police Department, and then transferred to the Jackson County Juvenile Detention Center, charged with juvenile delinquency by disorderly conduct, resisting arrest with force and criminal mischief.
