(CLARKSVILLE) - A Clarksville woman has turned herself in to state police officials out of Sellersburg after being indicted on 8 felony counts of fraud.
The warrant, which was issued out of Clark County Superior Court 3, was the result of a 3 month investigation by State Police Detective David Mitchell and others at the Sellersburg post.
Police officials allege 37-year-old Michelle Cunningham of Clarksville used a credit card from a business she was employed at to purchase "photo pics," or pictures of young athletes portraying their image as actual sports memorabilia, to further her own photography business.
Police say they currently estimate she used the card 13 times, incurring more than $5,000 in costs.
State detectives continue to investigate while Cunningham is in Clark County jail awaiting her first court appearance.
