(BLOOMNIGTON) - Union teachers at Grandview Elementary School in Bloomington are accusing their principal and superintendent of interfering with the rights of their teachers.
In a notice issued by the Indiana Education Employment Relations Board granting a motion from the Monroe County Education Association, the union agreed to withdraw a list of 86 allegations on the condition that the transgressions do not occur again.
The complaint against Principal Jennifer Baker and Superintendent Jim Harvey, which is now posted inside Grandview Elementary, doesn't make allegations regarding specific instances, only in reference to items in Indiana Code, including discouraging union membership, interfering, restraining or coercing employees in the exercise of their rights, and interfering with rights of administrating the union.
