(BEDFORD) - The City of Bedford is shutting down a portion of Mitchell Road and M Street starting this morning.
M Street, or Mitchell Road, will be manned by flagmen with lane closures while the road is cut to repair a broken utility line, between 18th and 21st Streets.
That same section of the road will be completely shut down starting around 8:00 tomorrow morning until the repairs are complete which, city officials estimate, could take as long as 3 days.
Passenger vehicles will be re-routed through nearby streets, tractor-trailers, however, are asked to use Highway 37 and 16th Street to circumvent the closure.
Those that have questions or concerns are asked to call City Hall at 279-6555.
