(BEDFORD) - East Lawrence and Bedford Utilities water customers are going to be under a boil order starting Sunday night.
Bedford's goes into effect at 9:00pm Sunday, East Lawrence starts at 11:00pm. Bedford Utilities is scheduled to begin repair work Sunday night, which means they have to issue a boil order.
East Lawrence water purchases water from Bedford Utilities, which is why they are going to issue their order.
Boil orders typically involve bringing your water you consume to a rolling boil for at least 2 minutes.
Mayor Girgis' office said the water plant hopes to have everything back to normal by Wednesday morning.
