(BEDFORD) - So far, Lawrence County has found the pocket of the storm, and has mostly just wet roads and some slush. The storm that was supposed to dump between 3 and 5 inches of snow on top of a bunch of ice, has taken an unusual path.
The ice and snow has gone north of us, heading straight for Indianapolis. The rain and wet that could have frozen has gone south towards Crawford County, leaving Bedford, Bloomington and Paoli little worse for the wear.
There is some slush on the roads and your car may be iced over, but temperatures have been on the rise so far this morning, and seeming to stay above freezing. That doesn't mean all is well yet, though.
The tail end of the storm is still passing Evansville and may give us some snow yet, and we still urge drivers to use caution on the roads.
The chance of everything freezing back up and conditions worsening still exists.
The National Weather Service in Indianapolis still has their winter storm warning carrying on until 7:00pm this evening for the entire listening area.
