(BEDFORD) - A Bloomington man allegedly ran a red light last night and wound up in a wreck injuring two.
Lawrence County Sheriff's reports say 49-year-old Gerald Hawkins of Bedford was turning left from northbound IN-37 on to Oolitic Road when 54-year-old Mark Iles of Bloomington reportedly ran through the southbound red light.
Hawkins struck Iles' driver's door, sending Iles off the side of the road and Hawkins into a spin.
The report says a witness behind Hawkins confirmed Hawkins had a green arrow.
Iles was trapped in his vehicle, but once freed was taken to Dunn Memorial Hospital for chest pain.
Hawkins' passenger, 36-year-old Deborah Thompson, was taken to Bedford Regional for complaints of head pain. No citations have been issued.
