(BEDFORD) - Flood warnings continue throughout Lawrence County and areas west.
As of yesterday morning, East Fork levels were almost 3 feet over the flood stage near Bedford and almost 2 feet above flood levels in Williams. National Weather Service meteorologists have moved up some of their flood warning timelines, though.
Bedford's warning has been moved from tomorrow afternoon to this evening. Williams' flood warning has been moved from tomorrow night to tomorrow morning.
Forecasters are hoping waters will be back below flood stages by as early as tonight.
As of 5:30 this morning, Lawrence County Sheriff's dispatchers have no listed reports of flooded roads in the county, however, if you do come across a flooded road, don't try to ford it, turn around and find another route.
Between the freezing cold temperatures and the icy conditions on many roads, things can become exceptionally dangerous if you get stranded in flood water.
