(BEDFORD) - Congressman Steve Buyer and State Representative Eric Koch’s 2008 Hoosier Job Fair looks like it will have plenty to turn out for.
Buyer just released information saying the job fair, to be held next Monday at the Lawrence County Fairgrounds, will have more than 1,000 jobs to offer to area residents and job seekers.
Buyer and Koch, along with Bedford Mayor Shawna Girgis and IUE-CWA local union President Phyllis Gassaway have been teaming up to make sure the event is a success.
More than 50 companies have signed up to come to Bedford, including Bedford Regional Medical Center, Crane, Cummins, Lehigh Cement, Subaru, Toyota Industrial, and even Rolls Royce.
All will be looking for Bedfordites and anyone else to fill open positions.
If you would like to attend, the fair is Monday from 10:00am until 5:00pm at the fairgrounds' Expo Hall, and if you can't drive, Mayor Girgis is making sure you can take the TASC bus for usual rates.
