(BEDFORD) - What would a winter week in South Central Indiana be without a weather advisory of some sort?
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory to start this evening. Lawrence, Monroe, Martin, Jackson, Brown, Greene, and Bartholomew Counties, including the cities of Bedford, Bloomington, Columbus and Seymour, are under a winter weather advisory starting at 7:00pm this evening until 7:00pm tomorrow night.
And that's not all.
Areas south, including Orange, Washington, Dubois, and Crawford Counties, including the cities of Paoli, Salem, Jasper and Marengo, are under an ice storm warning starting at 1:00pm this afternoon until 9:00am tomorrow morning.
In the northern warning, National Weather Service meteorologists are looking at a winter mix moving in late today bringing less than an inch of snow to fall on about a quarter inch of ice.
The warning for areas south say freezing rain will move in this afternoon and stay in one form or another through Friday morning.
Meteorologists say dangerous driving conditions are in their way for the Orange County area, and Lawrence is looking less certain, however, drivers should still take caution tonight and tomorrow.
