(BEDFORD) - The negative effects of this week’s ice storms have come to a taper and should be done by today.
We are looking at temperatures into the mid 40s today and Bedford and Lawrence County road crews should have roads clear this morning.
Bedford Street Department head John Dalton and Lawrence County Highway Department Superintendent Dan Lucas both told WBIW News they planned on having most all side and minor roads clear of ice and snow by this morning's commute.
However, several school districts in the area, including North Lawrence and Mitchell, are still on a 2-hour delay this morning.
But after having 2 days off and a late morning this morning, everyone should be geared up and ready to hop on the bus.
And by the time students come home from school this afternoon, roads should be completely clear from the melting we're expecting today.
