(BEDFORD) - Three people were injured, two seriously, in a single vehicle wreck Friday night.
Lawrence County Sheriff's reports say 19-year-old Richard Lidell of Bedford was driving south on Old 37 when he reportedly hit a patch of ice, slid off the right side of the road, started to spin around, went off the left side of the road backwards and hit a tree back-first.
Lidell was the least injured of the occupants of the vehicle with lacerations to his face. He reportedly did not need ambulatory service.
However, his front seat passenger, 15-year-old Jordan Taylor was taken first to Bedford Regional Medical Center with internal back injuries, and then transferred to Riley Children's Hospital.
17-year-old Calli Albright, who was trapped in the back seat, was also taken to BRMC with internal head injuries, transferred to Bloomington Hospital, and has since been taken elsewhere.
No citations have been issued.
Results of a voluntary intoxicant test on Lidell are pending, though the report said he appeared normal.
