(BEDFORD) - Today is D-Day for everyone who wants to put their name on the ballot for this year’s primary election season.
The deadline goes into effect at noon eastern today for people to turn in the required signatures to run in the May 6th primary.
One surprise on this year's primary is Bedford's LaRon Keith who dropped his name from the gubernatorial race against Mitch Daniels, but unsuspectedly filed to run against District 4 Congressman Steve Buyer in the Republican primary.
Keith told WBIW News that since his injuries he suffered in an auto accident last year prevent him from helping people as a firefighter, that he wanted to try and help people as a politician.
