(BEDFORD) - This morning’s cold temperatures combined with yesterday’s rains have created another problem, black ice on the roads.
So far, there has only been one accident related to the ice reported with injuries in Lawrence County.
Lawrence County Sheriff's reports this morning say 60-year-old Pamela Henderson was westbound on Tunnelton Road near Vinegar Hill when she reports hitting a patch of ice coming around a curve, crossed the centerline, and struck a utility pole.
After working the accident, Lawrence County officers noted they found several ice spots along Tunnelton, and Bedford police has also received a number of reports of slick spots on roads.
Henderson suffered from contusions to her face and was transported to Bedford Regional Medical Center.
No citations have been issued.
