(BLOOMINGTON) - Bloomington police have nabbed one individual they allege was dealing hydrocodone, closing an investigation nearing a year old.
Bloomington's Sergeant Jeff Canada tells WBIW News 23-year-old Tia Knese of Bloomington was under investigation for dealing controlled substances, specifically hydrocodone pills, in June of last year.
Canada says detectives conducted a controlled purchase and identified Knese as the suspect last year.
However, it apparently took up until this year to bring her into custody.
Bloomington police pulled Knese over for a traffic stop yesterday and one of the investigating narcotics officers reportedly heard the name over the radio. That officer joined the traffic officer and completed the arrest.
Knese was taken to Monroe County jail facing a Class A felony charge of dealing a Schedule III controlled substance.
