(INDIANAPOLIS) - Normally we don’t report Lottery information, however, when jackpots get as high as they have, it’s hard not to.
The Hoosier Lottery has announced the Powerball jackpot has gotten up to $275 million. This is the time when, if it hasn't happened already where you work, many people start seeing office pools open up, where everybody contributes a few dollars and, should they win, splits the winnings among the participants.
Although no one has taken the jackpot in several drawings, three Hoosiers have won the next best thing, the $200,000 prize for matching all but the last Powerball number.
Those winners were sold in Hammond, Milan and Beech Grove, Indiana.
What could you do with $275 million?
Well, you could do something silly like buy several hundred Rolls Royce Phantoms (around $400,000 each) and still have several million left over to build a nice estate in the woods with a garage big enough to hold them all.
