(WASHINGTON, IN) - A Daviess County Sheriff’s deputy is in the hospital after getting into an accident yesterday afternoon.
State police say 46-year-old Deputy David Fleming was driving his county-issue pickup near Washington through the intersection of County Roads 350 East and 100 North when, state police say, 16-year-old Paige Harrowood of Montgomery failed to yield the right of way.
Harrowood struck Flemings truck, sending it spinning into a ditch.
Fleming was taken to Daviess County Community Hospital for injuries to his torso and neck, but was listed in stable condition.
Harrowood was not injured.
