(BEDFORD) - The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for the East Fork of the White River along a number of areas, including Bedford and Williams.
Near Bedford, flood waters were expected to be up near 24 feet, four feet over flood stage. In Williams, the river is expected to crest flood levels this morning and get around 2 feet over flood stage by late this evening.
National Weather Service meteorologists are also calling flood warnings in Columbus, Seymour and Shoals.
All flood warnings are continuing until further notice.
Additionally, flood warnings have been issued for small creeks and streams in central and southern Indiana including Lawrence, Monroe, Jackson and Brown Counties until 2:00pm this afternoon.
As of 2:00am this morning, more than an inch of precipitation had already fallen, and more is expected throughout the day today. Areas from Orange County south are still only under a flood watch.
