Flood Warnings In Bedford Decrease, Williams Still Having Problems

Last updated on Friday, March 28, 2008

(BEDFORD) - Flooding problems continue throughout the listening area.

The National Weather Service is warning of lowland flooding throughout Jackson County along the East Fork of the White River.

The rain we're having right now is forecasted to last through sometime this afternoon at least, and then pick back up Sunday, and continue through Tuesday.

Flood warnings remain in effect along the river in Williams and Rivervale until further notice, Seymour is under a warning until Monday morning, and Shoals until Sunday evening.

However, Bedford's forecasted problems have been reduced, with warnings scheduled to end this evening.

Several roads in Lawrence and surrounding counties are compromised by the flooding, especially IN-450 which has been inaccessible for several days now through Williams.
