(BEDFORD) - Three drivers and one passenger were arrested on alcohol related charges this weekend.
Early Saturday morning, Bedford officers spotted 32-year-old Greta Wessell of Bedford driving along Mitchell Road without any tail lights or signal lights working, and, Bedford police say, she also had trouble staying in her lane. When officers stopped her, they reportedly noticed the odor of an alcoholic beverage, and administered tests which she failed.
Then, early yesterday morning, Bedford officers found 28-year-old James Abrams of Bloomfield driving the wrong way on 16th Street in between L and M Streets, and pulled him over. Officers report smelling an alcoholic beverage on him as well, and say he also failed sobriety testing.
Finally, just an hour after that, officers stopped 20-year-old Ryan Morris of Bedford for not using lights and not having any license plates. He also reportedly failed sobriety testing.
Wessell stands charged with operating while intoxicated, false and fictitious registration, and no tail lights.
Abrams is charged with operating while intoxicated and driving the wrong way on a one way street.
Morris is charged with operating while intoxicated, illegal consumption, no license plates and no lights.
Morris' passenger, 19-year-old Timothy Helton, was charged with illegal consumption and was found to be wanted on warrant for failure to appear to face charges of illegal consumption.
All 4 were taken to Lawrence County jail.
