(BEDFORD) - More rain, more problems. The National Weather Service has extended flood warnings along the East Fork of the White River once again.
The rain we are experiencing today is forecasted to continue through around the middle of Friday, and then pick back up Sunday, and go through Tuesday.
Flood warnings in Rivervale and Williams have been extended until further notice, Bedford until Sunday evening and Shoals until Sunday morning.
Williams is looking to have some major problems. Flood stages were already at 14-feet yesterday morning, flooding IN-450 along several points, as well as CR400 North and 1000 West. The National Weather Service also says IN-450 just east of the town will, "become a recreational area for local geese and ducks."
Rivervale is also looking at problems, especially with the Buddha Bypass Bridge in danger of flooding. Bedford, at this point, isn't looking to have major problems, however, Shoals residents, especially in areas which are already flooding extensively, may want to consider water wings or an inner tube.
Update: 3/27/2008 12:49pm
Late this morning, the National Weather Service declared flood warnings for small streams in Lawrence, Bartholomew, Brown, Jackson, Monroe, Greene and Martin Counties, including Bedford, Bloomington, Seymour, and Columbus until 6:45pm this evening.
