(BEDFORD) - With President Clinton coming to Bedford, the Obama campaign didn’t want to be left out of all the fun.
In an exclusive interview with WBIW News, Obama campaign communications official Kevin Griffiths said an Obama presidency would be beneficial to older manufacturing towns like Bedford.
"First and foremost, there's a recognition that some of the trade deals we have entered into like [the North American Free Trade Agreement] have not been beneficial to wide swaths of America, and Senator Obama would look to reevaluate that trade deal," Griffiths says. "[Obama] certainly would not enter into any more deals that don't protect American workers or...the environment or the workers in these other countries."
Robert O'Donnell with the Obama campaign told WBIW News this morning that, though details haven't been hashed out yet, the Illinois senator is planning a trip through Hoosier country himself very soon.
